Social Media Video Editor (Short-Form Focus)

We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Social Media Video Editor to support a growing media and marketing studio. This role focuses on transforming raw footage into compelling short-form content designed to perform on platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok.

You’ll primarily be editing talking-head content, along with property features and event recap videos, with an emphasis on storytelling, pacing, and visual impact.

● Edit long-form recorded footage into engaging short-form content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts)

● Create dynamic, scroll-stopping videos that align with each client’s brand and voice

● Edit primarily talking-head videos, with additional property walkthroughs and event recap content

● Add captions, text overlays, cuts, transitions and light motion where appropriate

● Design carousel post graphics using Canva, including compelling text and visuals that stand out while staying on-brand

● Meet all deadlines consistently and communicate clearly around timelines

● Receive feedback and make revisions quickly and accurately

● Organize and manage project files efficiently

● Strong experience editing short-form social content

● Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, and Canva

● Proven ability to turn raw footage into clear, engaging stories

● Strong sense of pacing, hooks and storytelling for social media

● Experience with captions, on-screen text, and graphic overlays

● Excellent communication skills and responsiveness

● Ability to take direction and apply feedback thoughtfully

● Reliable, organized and deadline-driven

● Experience editing real estate, lifestyle, hospitality, or event content

● Understanding of current Instagram and TikTok trends
