Position summary:
We are seeking an experienced Software Architect to design, build, and guide the development of highly scalable, resilient, and secure software platforms. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and modern development practices, while applying first-principles thinking to solve complex engineering problems. This role requires close collaboration with engineering and product teams to deliver robust, future-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the end-to-end architecture of large-scale, distributed systems and microservices-based platforms.
- Design scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance systems using latest technologies
- Establish best practices for system design, coding standards, and architectural patterns.
- Lead the adoption of cloud-native architectures on AWS and/or Azure, including containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Make data architecture decisions involving SQL and NoSQL databases based on performance, scalability, and consistency requirements.
- Collaborate with DevOps & Engineering teams to ensure system reliability, observability, security, and operational excellence.
- Apply design patterns and first-principles thinking to simplify complex problems and drive innovative solutions.
- Review and guide engineering teams on architecture, design documents, and critical technical decisions.
- Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI/ML/LLM-driven architectures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 3+ years in an architecture or technical leadership role.
- Strong hands-on experience with most prominent programming languages Java, Python, Golang, React etc. and REST approach
- Deep understanding of enterprise scale distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Postgres, MongoDB, Oracle, Graph, Redis, etc.
- Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (preferably AWS and/or Azure).
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a first-principles mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong Advantage
- Experience designing or integrating AI/ML/LLM/ RAG/Vector based systems (strong advantage).
- Technical Certifications e.g. TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solution Architect
- Understanding of domain like Security, Firewall, Networking
Desired Exposure:
- Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and infrastructure as code.
- Strong understanding of security, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Experience working in high-scale, high-availability systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
