About us

Tecsys is a fast-growing innovator offering supply chain solutions to industry leading healthcare systems, hospitals, and pharmacy businesses to distributors, retailers, and 3PLs. We work with industry leaders to transform their supply chains through technology. If you thrive on tackling interesting challenges with continuous learning opportunities then Tecsys could be a good fit for you!

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance and Scalability Analyst / Performance Tester with 5+ years of hands-on experience in performance and scale testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance engineering (not just functional testing) and a proven ability to define, measure, and interpret performance metrics, design workload models, and drive root-cause analysis.

Strong Supply Chain and Warehouse Management (WMS) domain knowledge is required. You should understand how warehouse operations run in real environments and be able to translate WMS workflows into realistic performance scenarios.

This role is pivotal to ensuring the optimal performance and scalability of our Tecsys Elite supply chain platform, hosted in Kubernetes on AWS, and executed through our automation ecosystem leveraging JMeter and Playwright.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests and publish key metrics.
  • Develop performance test plans and realistic workload models based on WMS workflows and operational patterns.
  • Build and maintain reusable test assets using JMeter (API) and Playwright (UI workflow validation when required).
  • Analyze performance bottlenecks across application, PostgreSQL database, and Kubernetes/AWS infrastructure; drive root-cause analysis and recommendations.
  • Leverage logs/metrics/APM tools (e.g., Datadog) to validate regressions and confirm improvements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in performance and scalability testing / performance engineering.
  • Strong ability to independently determine what to measure, how to execute, and how to interpret performance results.
  • Strong Supply Chain / WMS domain knowledge (required)—understanding warehouse operations and common workflow variations.
  • Experience working with enterprise applications in Kubernetes and cloud environments (AWS preferred).
  • Experience with tools such as JMeter, Playwright, and monitoring/APM tools (DataDog or equivalent).

Technical Skills:

  • Strong hands-on expertise with JMeter (test design, correlation, parameterization, data-driven execution, and reporting/analysis).
  • Experience with Playwright for automating/validating UI workflows (sanity and critical flows).
  • Proficiency in Java for troubleshooting/testing and understanding application behavior.
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation utilities, and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and performance investigation approaches (slow queries, locks/contention, indexing, connections).
  • Experience testing REST and SOAP services.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and AWS concepts relevant to performance and scalability.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, structured problem-solving and root-cause mindset.
  • Detail-oriented; able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

At Tecsys, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered.
