About Skyscanner

Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges. That's why we've spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 100 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole “47 browser tabs open” phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily.

Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all.

Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious? Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here.)Want to help us build the best travel ads in the world?

Quark is Skyscanner’s front-end–focused ads team, responsible for every ad and sponsorship experience across the product. We solve challenging technical problems to integrate sponsored products into multiple codebases and platforms throughout the company. If you're passionate about building world-class ads at scale and want to join one of the fastest-growing tribes in the business, this is the place for you.

What we do

In Quark, we build advertising experiences that benefit travellers, partners, and Skyscanner.
We aim to make ads:

  • Accessible

  • Relevant

  • Helpful to the traveller journey

  • Beautifully integrated into the product, not disruptive

While we are a front-end team first, we occasionally build or update backend components and integrations. This means you’ll mostly work on front-end features, but you’ll have opportunities to work across the stack when needed.

What you’ll work on

We own sponsored product placements across verticals, including Flights, Car Hire and recently even Hotels.
In this role, you will:

  • Build and iterate on sponsored product experiences across the UI

  • Deliver high-quality, reliable front-end features

  • Contribute to backend integrations where required

  • Improve consistency and alignment of ads across Skyscanner surfaces

Experience with our sponsored product ecosystem is a plus, but not required.

Who you are

You're a pragmatic, proactive Engineer with:

  • Solid engineering skills - front-end is a plus (your core area)

  • Curiosity, collaboration, and a drive to build user-centric experiences

  • A desire to grow front-end technical leadership

You’re comfortable working in an evolving space, care about quality, and contribute positively to team culture
