Software Engineer, Java (Swift and/or Payments Experience) -Tietoevry Create (m/f/d)

We are looking for talented Java Developers with experience in Swift and/or payment systems to join our growing team. Depending on your level of experience, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of scalable backend systems, mobile integrations, and secure payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Regular Java Developer

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java.
• Collaborate with mobile developers working in Swift.
• Assist in integrating payment gateways and APIs.
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code.
• Participate in code reviews and team meetings.

Senior Java Developer

• Lead development of complex backend modules and payment integrations.
• Mentor junior developers and support technical growth.
• Optimize performance and scalability of systems.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technology selection.
• Ensure security and compliance in payment-related features.

Lead Java Developer

• Drive technical strategy and roadmap for backend and payment systems.
• Lead cross-functional teams across backend, mobile, and DevOps.
• Own end-to-end delivery of key projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Champion best practices in software engineering and agile methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, REST APIs, etc.).
• Experience with Swift (iOS development) or close collaboration with Swift teams.
• Hands-on experience with payment systems (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, PSD2, SEPA, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Good understanding of software design patterns and testing frameworks.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kotlin or other JVM languages.
• Knowledge of security standards in financial applications.
• Exposure to microservices architecture.
• Previous experience in fintech or e-commerce domains.
