What's exciting about the role

We are seeking a dedicated QA Engineering Manager to join our LATAM team. In this role, you will lead the development and execution of both manual and automated software and system tests. You’ll be involved from the early stages of product development—gathering requirements, setting up test environments, designing test plans, and analyzing results—to ensure seamless product launches and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement customer requirements through manual and automated testing (black box/white box) for the LATAM market.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for frontend, backend, and mobile (POS/Pinpads).
  • Develop reusable automation frameworks using modern tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
  • Support development teams in quality assurance and collaborate across departments in an international environment.
  • Define acceptance criteria and test cases with product and development teams.
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics such as defect density, code coverage, and test pass rate.
  • Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Guide and mentor QA engineers in automation practices.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.

Skills and Experience we desire

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent IT experience.
  • Native Spanish; Intermediate to Advanced English
  • Proven experience in C/C++ for white box testing and scripting languages like Python.
  • Strong background in test automation and writing detailed test cases, plans, and design documents.
  • Experience with Linux or Android systems (PC/server/embedded).
  • Familiarity with payment industry concepts such as EMV, ISO8583, PCI, payment gateways, Collis, UL, issuers, Offline PIN, and Online PIN.
  • Familiarity with test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Knowledge of microservices testing, REST/SOAP APIs, and GraphQL.
  • Experience with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, Locust).
  • Proficiency in Git/GitFlow and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps culture.
