 Your Role at impact.com:

As the Software Quality Engineer at Impact, your key responsibilities will include delivering high quality software, loudly advocating for software testing best practices, and helping to instill a strong quality mindset in those around you. This role will work globally, cross team and cross functionally to directly ensure the highest level of quality for key customers. 

Successful candidates will be quick learners who are able to flex and adapt with different needs and processes depending on what they are working on. An eye for detail will also be important as you navigate the large and feature rich platform that is impact.com

 

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript) or Selenium (Java).
  • Conduct manual testing across UI/UX, FrontEnd, BackEnd, and API testing using tools like Postman.
  • Independently manage and document test cases with TestRail.
  • Collaborate closely with product teams and developers to understand requirements and translate them into automated test scripts.
  • Perform comprehensive integration testing and ensure smooth end-to-end testing cycles.
  • Identify, document, and report bugs through manual and automated testing.
  • Coordinate with East Coast-based teams on release days for post-release verifications and checks.
  • Provide regular updates to the Product Manager and QA Lead on task progress and automation scripting status.
  • Offer detailed reporting metrics and insights to relevant stakeholders to track testing progress and quality metrics.
  • Contribute feedback and insights during team discussions, demonstrating confidence, clarity, and a proactive approach.

 

 What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing, proficient with Playwright (TypeScript) or Selenium (Java).
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and GCP cloud environment.
  • Experience using TestRail for test case management and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of API testing with Postman.
  • Experience with UI/UX testing and backend testing.
  • Familiarity with integration testing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, confident in sharing opinions, and capable of working collaboratively.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders across different time zones.
