We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)—a hybrid between a software engineer and a customer-facing problem solver.
In this role, you’ll take your engineering expertise out of the office and into the field: working directly with customer engineering teams, designing and implementing integrations, troubleshooting in real time, and ensuring smooth go-lives. You won’t just be writing code for Coinflow’s core product—you’ll be applying your coding skills, systems knowledge, and product intuition to help customers be successful with our platform.
This role is perfect for engineers who love building but want to broaden their scope: spending more time collaborating with customers, shaping solutions, and solving high-impact technical challenges in production environments.
Solution Design & Deployment
Work directly with customer engineering teams to design, prototype, and implement integrations
Build proof-of-concepts and code snippets that accelerate adoption
Advise on tradeoffs, system design, and best practices for scaling payments infrastructure
Customer Onboarding & Go-Live
Own technical onboarding from signed contract through production launch
Debug live integration issues across APIs, SDKs, and payment flows
Ensure every deployment is smooth, stable, and optimized for long-term growth
Optimization & Expansion
Analyze transaction and integration data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities
Guide customers in rolling out new features, payment methods, and advanced workflows
Partner with Sales to expand accounts through technical credibility and solution depth
Internal Impact
Translate customer challenges into product insights for Engineering and Product teams
Build internal tools, documentation, and reusable integration assets
Help shape the playbook for how Coinflow scales technical deployments globally
2–5 years of software engineering experience (or technical background)
Coding ability in TypeScript and React, with enough fluency to debug, prototype, and teach others
Great grasp of REST APIs, integrations, and distributed system data flows
Comfortable writing database queries for debugging, reporting, and analysis
Excellent communicator who thrives in customer conversations and technical workshops
Curious, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
Bonus: Experience in payments, fintech, or transaction processing
Unlike traditional engineering roles, this isn’t about committing code to our core product every day. Instead, you’ll:
Be embedded with customers as their go-to technical partner
Use your engineering skills to solve real-world, high-stakes problems in production
Influence Coinflow’s roadmap directly with customer-driven insights
Play a pivotal role in scaling both customer success and company revenue
Join the team rewriting how money moves worldwide—and become a driving force in the $194 trillion cross-border payments market.
