We are looking for a highly skilled DataOps Engineer with strong expertise in Databricks to join our team at CI&T.
In this role, you will support the evolution of our Enterprise Data Foundation operating model, ensuring alignment with global data platform standards, enforcing governance policies, improving data ingestion processes, and driving the transition from manual data loads to automated, scalable pipelines.
As part of a global organization, you will play a key role in ensuring that local development teams follow engineering best practices while contributing to a robust, scalable, and efficient data ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with local development teams to ensure adherence to engineering standards and DataOps best practices
- Align local data solutions with global data platform standards
- Define and enforce best practices for Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) in Databricks
- Support the migration from manual data loads to automated ingestion pipelines
- Review and validate PySpark and SQL code, providing guidance and technical feedback to Data Engineers
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for Databricks resource provisioning
- Monitor and optimize Databricks environments for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
- Create and maintain documentation for engineering standards and operational processes
- Stay up to date with DataOps, Databricks, and cloud engineering trends and best practices
What You Bring
- Proven experience as a DataOps Engineer (or similar role) with strong focus on Databricks
- Solid hands-on experience with PySpark and SQL, including code review practices
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in data engineering environments
- Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, global team
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback
- Advanced English proficiency mandatory (written and spoken)
Nice to Have
- Databricks or cloud certifications
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI is a plus)
