The Sr. Engineer, AI Solutions is pivotal in pioneering the integration of artificial intelligence into our software development lifecycle, focusing on creating and customizing AI-powered tools to enhance developer productivity and code quality. The ideal candidate will also be a key contributor to our product, responsible for designing and developing intelligent, user-facing features that leverage the latest advancements in AI. You will be a key driver of AI adoption, bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and practical, impactful software applications.

BASE RANGE: ¥289,700 - ¥434,500 + BONUS

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Continuously research, evaluate, and prototype with the latest AI-powered software development tools

Drive the integration and adoption of AI tools within our engineering team's workflows, IDEs, and CI/CD pipelines.

Develop bespoke AI-powered tools and scripts to solve unique challenges faced by our software engineering team.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to conceptualize, design, and implement new AI-driven features for our end-users.

Develop robust, scalable, and production-ready AI services and applications.

Conduct regular, self-guided study to stay current on new and existing technologies, particularly in areas related to code intelligence, LLMs, and generative AI.

Participate and understand the development build, deployment, and monitoring processes with an emphasis on security, performance and scalability. 

Write design documentation, as needed

Be an active participant in the day-to-day Scrum activities of the team including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives

Job Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.

5+ years of professional experience in a software engineering role, with a proven track record of shipping production code.

Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with common machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face).

Demonstrable experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompt engineering, API integration (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic), and understanding of transformer architectures.

Practical experience using modern AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor).

Solid software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, API design, and experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate ambiguous business needs into concrete technical solutions.

Strong communication skills and a passion for collaborating within a cross-functional team.
