Lead and manage a team of Category Managers & Sr Category Managers within one commercial division, ensuring strong commercial performance, team development, and alignment with company strategy.
Core Responsibilities
Lead and manage Category Managers across one division (Food & FMCG, Non-Food).
Own and drive the P&L performance of a portfolio exceeding €100M annually.
Define and execute strategies for assortment, pricing, and promotions.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and partners.
Develop and upskill the category team to ensure consistent execution.
Oversee implementation of core commercial levers aligned with company strategy.
Monitor market trends, customer behavior, and supplier investments to identify opportunities.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations.
Represent the division in leadership forums.
Ensure a strong balance between customer experience and commercial performance.
Qualifications
Requirements
10+ years of experience in retail, e-commerce, or FMCG commercial functions.
Proven experience managing P&L and driving business performance.
Strong leadership experience managing commercial or category teams.
Deep understanding of pricing, assortment, and promotions.
Experience in strategic supplier management and negotiations.
Strong business and financial acumen.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
