If you're excited about the potential AI has to shape human creativity and social interactions, join us in building the future!
About the Role:
Cantina is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead the design for our AI character creation flows.
Experience designing for generative AI is essential, and familiarity with video creation or editing tools is a major plus. This is not a “take specs and execute” design role — it’s a high-ownership, high-velocity position where you identify the right problems, shape the solutions, and iterate rapidly. You’ll become a power user of the product and stay closely connected to our users, using real behavior and feedback to inform decisions.
You’ll partner directly with product, engineering, and AI teams to invent new interaction patterns, prototype ideas in real time, and put them in users’ hands immediately. In fast-paced design sessions, you’ll be expected to think on your feet, solve problems visually on screen, and push concepts from zero to usable in hours, not days. If you thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, and want to help define the future of AI-native consumer experiences, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do:
Design high-fidelity interfaces and end-to-end user journeys for AI character creation and related creation flows across mobile and desktop.
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, research, and AI teams to explore concepts, validate assumptions, and rapidly prototype new interaction patterns.
Work at high speed. We move from idea to live prototype in hours, not days. We iterate quickly based on real user behavior and feedback.
Help shape our design culture, processes, and quality bar as we scale the product and team.
Own features from concept through polish, ensuring that every interaction, state, and detail is intentional, intuitive, and grounded in user needs.
What You’ll Bring:
5+ years of product design experience, with at least 3 years working on consumer-facing applications.
A portfolio demonstrating shipped work that meaningfully improved user experience or business metrics, especially in zero-to-one or fast-moving environments.
Hands-on experience designing for generative AI products or workflows (required).
Bonus: familiarity with video editing tools, creation flows, or media manipulation interfaces.
Strong prototyping ability and comfort iterating rapidly in response to feedback and data.
Thrives in ambiguity, works quickly without sacrificing quality, and enjoys solving problems live (in real time, on-screen) with cross-functional partners.
Deeply user-centered, with the ability to become a power user of our product and a close observer of user behavior.
