Sr. Software Engineer
GRIN is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help drive the continued evolution of our core platform, GRIN Classic. The foundation of the leading influencer marketing software trusted by top global brands. This is a rare opportunity to work end-to-end on a live, revenue-generating SaaS product where every improvement directly impacts customers.
You’ll work in a lean, high-autonomy environment—owning projects from ideation through deployment without layers of management or bureaucracy slowing you down. You’ll collaborate closely with customer-facing teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver meaningful product and infrastructure enhancements that make GRIN faster, more stable, and more scalable.
As our next-generation platform (Gia) matures, you’ll also gain exposure to AI-driven engineering through close collaboration with our advanced AI engineering team—an opportunity to evolve your skill set and influence the next phase of GRIN’s technical transformation.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain features and services that solve real customer problems and scale efficiently.
- Lead and execute projects end-to-end—requirements, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Collaborate directly with internal teams and customers to understand needs and craft practical, reliable solutions.
- Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability through thoughtful engineering.
- Engage in architectural discussions and influence long-term technical direction.
- Mentor peers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and shared learning.

What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript with experience in modern frameworks (Vue.js, React, or Angular).
- Back-end experience with PHP (Laravel preferred), Go, or similar.
- Solid database fundamentals (SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL; MongoDB a plus).
- Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative, self-directed working style.
- Comfort using Cursor or similar AI-assisted coding tools.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of software development experience in production environments.
- Proficient in JavaScript and experienced with modern front-end frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular.

- Strong understanding of database design and development (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL; MongoDB a plus).
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and team-based development workflows.

- Comfort using Cursor to write and troubleshoot code.
Bonus Skills
- Experience building or maintaining distributed systems or event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency designing and optimizing APIs and data flows.
- Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Sentry, etc.) and performance profiling.
- Experience identifying and solving scalability or data-processing bottlenecks.

Salary Band - Brazil:
Sr. Software Engineer: R$319K-R$529K or US$59K-US$95K
As a contractor, you will be paid in USD on a monthly basis through Oyster, GRIN's international hiring partner.
