We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing startup finance team. This role offers broad exposure across general accounting, NetSuite, accounts payable, audit and tax support, and is ideal for a CPA candidate or licensed CPA looking to deepen hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
What you will be doing:
General Accounting & Month-End CloseParticipate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesPrepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, payroll, inventory, and fixed assetsAssist with balance sheet account reconciliations and timely resolution of variancesReconcile bank statements, cash-in-transit, and credit card statementsAssist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedulesEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting controlsNetSuite (Advanced Use)Perform daily accounting activities in NetSuiteMaintain and reconcile the general ledger and related subledgersUse saved searches, standard reports, and dashboards to support analysis and closeAssist with NetSuite enhancements, testing, and process improvementsSupport integration and use of NetSuite modules, including Accounts Payable, Inventory, and ManufacturingAccounts Payable (AP)Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper PO, receipt, and invoice matchingEnsure accurate coding, approvals, and posting in NetSuiteManage vendor relationships and resolve invoice or payment discrepanciesSupport payment runs, including ACH, checks, and wire transfersAssist with annual 1099 preparation and reportingAudit & Compliance SupportPrepare schedules, reconciliations, and documentation for external auditorsSupport internal controls, process documentation, and audit requestsSupport with federal, state, and local tax filingsAssist with ad hoc accounting projects as the company scales
What you bring to this role:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA candidate (actively pursuing) or active CPA license preferred3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a startup, technology, or manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP and month-end close processesHands-on experience with NetSuite (required); advanced users strongly preferredExperience with accounts payable, vendor management, and payment processingInventory and COGS accounting experience is a plusStrong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas); experience with Google Sheets a plusAbility to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environmentHigh attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally

This is a full time, exempt position, based out of our Saratoga office. The target base pay for this position is $75,000- $90,000 annually. The total compensation packaged will be determined by various factors such as your relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used—so we’re looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities. If that’s your experience – then we’ll be immediately wow-ed.
