Staff Accountant

• C1 English proficiency

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3+ years of experience in private equity, real estate development, or fund accounting (required)

• Advanced Excel skills: Proven experience building consolidated workpapers and elimination schedules

• Experience in QuickBooks, including setting up COAs, month-end close routines, and job costing

• Experience with QuickBooks add-ons such as Knowify, Synder, Dext, or BusyBusy (preferred)

• Experience with AppFolio, Yardi, Juniper Square, or Carta (preferred)

• High attention to detail, process orientation, and ability to work independently in a single-founder, fast-paced environment

• Financial operations & bookkeeping:

• Design and implement Charts of Accounts for newly formed companies

• Maintain month-end bookkeeping: reconcile bank accounts, code transactions, post journal entries, prepare trial balance extracts for CFO review

• Manage intercompany flows and prepare intercompany elimination schedules

• Execute job costing in QuickBooks or approved QuickBooks add-ons; track WIP, cost-to-complete, capitalizable costs, and contractor accruals

• Prepare monthly trial balance extracts for CFO review

• Build and maintain consolidated financials (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) with elimination entries and roll-ups in Excel

• Annual budgets & operating proformas:

• Assist with development of annual budgets and multi-year proformas for residential and commercial real estate properties, management companies, and operating businesses

• Refresh rolling forecasts and compare actuals to budget monthly

• Client support & meeting participation:

• Attend client meetings, take high-quality notes, document action items, and set follow-up reminders

• Produce meeting recaps, timelines, and task owners after client calls

Nice-to-have / additional duties (as capacity allows):

• Create and maintain playbooks for recurring tasks (budget build, month-end close checklist)

• Assist with bookkeeping clean-up projects and historical reconciliations

• Build template investor reports and standard operating dashboards
