- Gather and analyze integration requirements from business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business analysts, clients, and IT professionals to understand and document integration needs.
- Coordinate with external vendors, partners and countries to analyze the integration needs and data exchange requirements, create data mapping, define API specifications including request/response details, data validations and message formats; identify business use cases for integration, document the integration document including API request/response samples and get it review and approved with external stakeholder.
- Maintain an integration architecture repository, including system diagrams, data flows, interface specifications and API URLs/path by respective environment for all APIs.
- Provide training and support to end-users and other IT team members on integration-related topics.
- Design integration solutions to connect disparate systems, applications, and data sources using appropriate tools and technologies (e.g., APIs, middleware, ETL tools).
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman and SoapUI to validate the API request/response and troubleshoot response codes & errors.
- Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT) to ensure data integrity and functionality.
- Work with the integration developers and operations support team to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in a timely manner.
- Perform gap analysis and identify impacts as a result of any changes or enhancements to existing APIs.
- Ensure all integration processes are thoroughly documented, including data mappings, workflows, message formats, validations and transformation rules.
- Maintain version control for all integration documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Plan the rollout/migration of services to the new API and validate the integration postimplementation.
- Provide regular status updates and present progress reports for assigned tasks to supervisors and management.
- Create integration specifications document covering integration flows, data mapping, message formats, sample API payloads, response codes and logging criteria.
- Mentor a team of integration specialists and manage their day-to-day activities and project assignments.
- Any other task assigned by the line manager/HOD.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any relevant discipline.
- Minimum 6 to 7 years of experience in IT business/integration analysis, integration development or a related field.
- Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and techniques.
- Experience of working on integration projects, documenting integration specifications and API testing.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to work with internal & external stakeholders.
- Have sound knowledge of API concepts and protocols and authentication mechanisms.
- Ability to create detailed integration documents, API specifications and use cases.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and sprint & release concepts.
- Ability to conduct data analysis and data modeling to support business requirements.
- Strong follow-up with relevant stakeholders for completion of dependent tasks
- Knowledge of database design and SQL.
- Ability to perform API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger, Postman, etc.).
- Ability to lead, motivate and guide a team towards successful project outcomes.
