Build the supply chain that enables Europe’s next-generation sustainable fuel plant
Imagine being responsible for the end-to-end supply chain of a brand-new, first-of-a-kind production facility—one that plays a direct role in accelerating the transition to sustainable aviation.
In this role, that is exactly what you will do.
With DSL-01, our upcoming production facility in Delfzijl, we are moving from pioneering supply to large-scale production. The plant is expected to be ready for production in 2028, and the operational organization is being built now.
As Supply Chain Manager DSL-01, you will design, build and lead the complete end-to-end supply chain for this facility — from feedstock sourcing and logistics to production support and product offtake. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior role where you don’t inherit complexity — you create clarity, structure and impact from the ground up.
Key responsibilities
Define and implement the end-to-end supply chain strategy for DSL-01.
Design and roll out S&OP and E2E planning processes (strategic and operational).
Build and lead the Supply Chain organization (roles, hiring, team development).
Select and implement ERP / SCM systems.
Ensure uninterrupted supply of feedstocks, chemicals and additives.
Ensure smooth offtake of products, by-products and waste streams.
Own daily production, supply and offtake planning.
Manage suppliers, off-takers and logistics service providers.
Own quality, quantity and sustainability documentation flows.
Prevent demurrage, delays and production losses.
The ideal profile
Experience
HBO / WO degree.
5+ years in supply chain, logistics or operations leadership roles.
Background in environments such as logistics providers, storage terminals, petrochemical / oleochemical operators or manufacturing.
Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, forecasting and stock optimization.
Hands-on ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or similar).
Familiar with trade regulations (e.g. ADR), sustainability standards and risk management.
Capabilities
Comfortable operating at both strategic and plant-operational level.
Proven ability to build structure in complex, evolving environments.
Strong stakeholder management skills with suppliers, Logistics Service Providers and internal teams.
Calm, pragmatic and effective in crisis situations.
Languages
Fluent English and Dutch (must have).
Nice to have
Experience in (renewable) fuels supply chains.
Lean / Six Sigma or continuous improvement exposure.
Scenario planning and contingency development.
German and/or French.
