Systems Administration Support Specialist (Windows OS)

SOSi is seeking a Systems Administration Support Specialist (Windows OS) in Wiesbaden, Germany. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the daily administration, maintenance, and optimization of Microsoft-based server environments. This role involves performing high-level administrative tasks, ensuring network and server availability, and managing secure user environments in support of theater-level mission requirements.

Essential Job Duties

• Provide advanced-level technical support for the daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Server-based operating systems.
• Execute the daily maintenance of Microsoft Server-based products, including MSSQL, Hyper-V, and Live Communications platforms, to ensure continuous connectivity and optimal performance.
• Manage and coordinate system security settings and user permissions to ensure authorized personnel have appropriate access to server resources while maintaining strict security protocols.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to monitor system health, identify potential bottlenecks or failures, and implement proactive administrative fixes.
• Ensure all system administrative actions align with the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) standards and maintain strict STIG compliance for all Windows assets.
• Prepare technical documentation, system diagrams, and status reports to support theater-wide processing initiatives and leadership decision-making.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Active in scope Secret clearance with T5.
• BA/BS degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Business Administration, or Mathematics) plus five (5) years of specialized experience OR Associate’s degree plus seven (7) years of specialized experience OR a major professional certification plus seven (7) years of specialized experience OR eleven (11) years of specialized experience.
• Possession of at least one of the following: MCSA (2012 or 2016) or Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator.

The following experience may be concurrent.

• Minimum four (4) years of experience using and maintaining Microsoft Server-based OS.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Server-based products (e.g., MSSQL, Hyper-V, Live Communications).
• Minimum two (2) years of direct experience with U.S. military command and control or commercial LAN/WAN communication systems.

Additional Information

Work Environment

• Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations.
• May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
