The High Level:

We’re looking for Technical Account Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of managing the customer relationship for their assigned accounts.  Must have knowledge and experience with IT Solutions in the DOD sapce and customers.  

What you’ll do:

  •  Candidate must have the ability to develop and execute on a profitable business plan.
  • The individual will need to handle all aspects of the Vendor relationship to include relationship building between the Vendor and the DoD customers and work closely with Partners to ensure all customer issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Will initiate and lead professional services sales strategy discussions and generate plans for implementation in accordance with territory objectives 
  • Provide technical strategic leadership to customers within organizations in assigned territory and applies extensive knowledge of Iron Bow business strategies to proactively anticipate customer technical needs based on DoD industry trends.
  • Work with Account Team to drive identified major account opportunities i.e. technical consulting, management presentations, technology solutions – Information Security, Data Center & Virtualization, Network Infrastructure, Unified Communications and Client Computing. 
  • Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects.  Provide high-level and detailed consultative solutions, technical and sales support for selected major account opportunities.
  • Establishes long-term relationships with accounts/clients.
  • Develops and maintains favorable relationships with new and existing clients in order to increase revenue.
  • Ensures that organizational goods or services consistently meet client needs.
  • Responsible for sustaining and renewing client contracts. 
  • Under minimal supervision, develops strategic account plans.
  • Has a strong understanding of Federal acquisition processes.
  • May lead and direct the work of others.
  • Responsible for all sales and professional service solutions to one or more large, complex Federal Government accounts, both current and prospective. Includes booking, revenue, gross margin, payment and forecasting accountability.
  • Leverages OEM, partner, and other business relationships to increase business revenue and margin through information technology solutions sales.
  • Assist Business Development and Capture Team and lead the development of proposals and SOWs, assisting the teams in effectively packaging, pricing, and presenting solution to customer   
  • Assembles and prepares sales handoff packages in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What we need in you:

  •  A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • This is a Senior Technical Account Manager position that requires 7 to 10 years of progressive experience solution selling or supporting the Department of Defense in a technical capacity.
  • Experience selling or managing consulting, professional, and integration services to the DoD.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills desired.
  • Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills with an emphasis on understanding requirements.
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment with Customer Support Engineers, Inside Sales, and other Teammates and partners.
  • Effective Verbal and Written Communications Skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of Excel.
  • Proven ability to grow accounts and develop and execute against strategic goals and initiatives
  • Ability to Prioritize requirements and meet deadlines
  • DoD Data Center Infrastructure and Network Management/Network Defense knowledge/experience preferred
  • Ability to hold DoD Secret and or Top Secret Clearance is Preferred. 
  • There is an estimated of up to 50% travel requirements for this position.
