We are seeking a Technical Logistics Coordinator who will be the operational link between our vessels and our onshore support base. This hands-on role requires strong knowledge of vessels, warehouse management and port activities. You will work closely with Technical Superintendents and the Contract Manager to ensure that our vessels are fully prepared, compliant, and supported during all port calls and offshore operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
- Plan and coordinate vessel port calls, ensuring efficient turnaround.
- Supervise port operations including fuel bunkering, lubricants, fresh water supply, waste disposal, and technical services.
- Ensure all vessel certifications and permits are obtained and renewed on time.
- Maintain professional working relationships with clients, port officials, and government agencies.
Logistics & Procurement
- Receive proposals from suppliers as per direct manager instructions to support purchasing.
- Create POs, verify vendor invoices and maintain accurate procurement records as per company standards and local content requirements.
- Receive purchased items from suppliers as per your direct manager’s instructions and ensure quantity and general specifications upon receiving. This includes equipment, spare parts, PPEs and other technical assets.
- Distribute/deliver materials to vessels or offices as per procedures to ensure compliance and availability.
- Support with sourcing local goods.
- Implement and oversee inventory control and manage PPE stock levels for crew.
- Coordinate local and international shipments, ensuring timely customs clearance and delivery.
Other tasks
- Keep vessel activity trackers updated and aligned with operational requirements.
- Ensure all documentation meets maritime and company compliance standards.
- Provide operational reports as required (daily, monthly, or ad hoc).
- Maintain Company image through high and effective communication skills with all parties.
- Keeping workplace clean and organized.
- Execute any tasks related to job as per direct manager instructions and job needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
- 3–5 years of experience in vessel operations or maritime/technical logistics.
- Strong knowledge of vessel systems, equipment, and port procedures.
- Experience working with maritime authorities and certification processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach.
- Looking for a permanent position.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
