About the Team: 

The Nielsen Marketing Cloud (NMC) Operations team is seeking a Technical Support Specialist 1. NMC is a Data Management Platform (DMP) that facilitates the collection, organization, and activation of data for audience targeting. As a part of the larger NMC Operations team, the Audience Operations team is specifically responsible for the creation, maintenance, and overall health of our Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) product offering.

Responsibilities:

Audience Creation and Management:-

  • Execute the operational process for creating audiences for Nielsen or branded data partners within the Data Management Platform. This includes utilizing established tools and protocols and conducting thorough quality assurance checks.

  • Review and approve the mapping of data partner audiences into Nielsen's proprietary "whitelabel" audience taxonomies (offerings).

  • Manage audience rules by adding, removing, or updating them to ensure accurate attribution of incoming data.

  • Execute audience changes during bi-annual taxonomy updates, adhering to project timelines, and address high-priority ad-hoc requests.

  • Lead the end-to-end custom audience build process specifically for Nielsen-owned datasets.

  • Monitor audience scale to maintain taxonomy health and identify/report anomalies to relevant troubleshooting teams (e.g., Data Science, Digital Support).

Operational Collaboration and Support:-

  • Collaborate with the broader NMC Operations team to ensure successful delivery of audiences to activation platforms.

  • Partner with the Engineering team to report bugs in operational tools and identify opportunities for workflow efficiencies.

  • Handle user and account creation within the Data Management Platform and resolve platform accessibility issues.

  • Provide high-level operational support to the sales team, allowing them to prioritize sales activities.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years working in an analytics, data operations or similar role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science or a related field

  • Experience working with Google Suite tools; Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel; ability to analyze data in pivot tables and run basic formulas such as vlookups, concatenations, etc.

  • Experience utilizing a ticketing system to manage work and interface with internal or external clients (ie Salesforce, Jira, Zendesk)

  • Strong communicator with aptitude for high level of customer service skills; adheres to project timelines and ticket response SLAs

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in the AdTech industry.

  • Familiarity with ADLM tools such as Jira, Confluence, and OpsGenie.

  • Prior experience in a client-facing role or managing client expectations.

  • Experience working remotely for a global, multicultural company.
