What do we need

Ready to hunt new opportunities and shape the future of life sciences innovation?

We’re looking for a results-driven Territory Sales Executive to drive new business across the Materials Sciences industry in North America. This is not your typical sales role—you’ll own the territory, find untapped opportunities, and bring cutting-edge digital solutions to organizations that are shaping the future of science.

You will have total ownership of your territory and the freedom to pursue New Logo, high-impact deals, engaging with key stakeholders across R&D, IT, and Data Science, and leading enterprise-level sales cycles. 

If you thrive on selling complex SaaS solutions, hunting new logos, navigating intricate buying processes, and influencing decisions from the scientific lab bench to the C-suite, this role is for you.

In this role you will 

  • Hunt & Win New Logos: You’ll own a defined territory and go after new business with a relentless focus. From cold outreach to warm referrals, ABM campaigns, and industry events, you’ll leave no stone unturned in building your pipeline and closing deals.
  • Deliver Strategic Solutions:  You’re not just selling software—you’re solving critical business challenges. Translate complex solutions into compelling, customized pitches for scientists, IT leaders, and executives.
  • Lead Complex Deals:  You’ll navigate enterprise-level sales cycles, lead multi-stakeholder negotiations, and close high-value deals (often $1M+ ACV).
  • Be the Voice of the Customer:  Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success to ensure a seamless experience and long-term relationships, while continuously uncovering new opportunities in your territory.
  • Drive Your Own Success: Follow a proven sales methodology, stay on top of market trends, and relentlessly pursue growth—there’s no limit to what you can achieve here.

We are looking for people who have demonstrated experience in growth/new logos across large territories, typically liaising/engaging with CxOs, R&D teams, and IT leaders—influencing multi-dimensional decision-making. You can demonstrate a strong track record in new business growth of territories, enterprise SaaS sales, ideally in the Materials Sciences industry, selling data management, automation, or AI that sells to R&D, IT, and business stakeholders and you’re comfortable selling solutions that aren’t pre-budgeted and can craft compelling business cases that justify investment. 

The key skills we are looking for 

  • Proven Hunter: Ability to research and summarize, and  identify value propositions. You thrive on opening new accounts, landing new logos, and expanding existing ones. 
  • Communication and Executive Presence: Ability to not only get the meeting but to execute, Collaborative - both external and internally.   You can demonstrate your influencing skills at all levels—from lab scientists to CxOs.
  • Materials Experience: You understand the Materials Sciences landscape, engaging with R&D, IT, and executive stakeholders.
  • Enterprise SaaS Track Record: You’ve sold complex solutions to large organizations ($1B+ revenue), preferably in data management, automation, or AI for sciences.
  • Pipeline generation focused: You can can demonstrate experience and success landing new logos.
  • Strategic & Process-Oriented:  You will show strong organizational skills, Project/Program Management skills, Metric based, discipline in driving sales methodology.

Bonus: Life sciences degree or deep domain knowledge is a plus—but your willingness to learn, drive and sales talent matter most.

Dotmatics utilises a national market-based approach to base pay benchmarking and pay band development. The candidate's final starting pay is based on job-related skills, experience, job specific qualifications & location. In addition to base salary, Dotmatics has implemented a total rewards strategy, which is the combination of compensation, benefits and recognition. 

Certain positions are also eligible for variable pay; your recruiter will discuss the full compensation package details.

This is the range that we, in good faith, believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

$89,836$121,543 USD
