Threat Intelligence Analyst

Control Risks is seeking expressions of interest for an upcoming embedded role in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Working within the Global Security team of a large multi-national company, the Threat Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for executing data collection, information analysis, and intelligence dissemination to support decision-making and mitigate risks to our client's customers, personnel, assets, operations, and reputation.

This role requires effective monitoring and proactive reporting of risks from a diverse and evolving physical security threat landscape. It involves leveraging open-source reporting, internal datasets, and external vendor services to support key business areas.

Under guidance from the Senior Manager, Threat Intelligence, this role will service routine reporting requirements and support bespoke intelligence requests in support of internal partners and business operations

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Political Science, International Affairs, Criminal Intelligence, or equivalent experience.
• Five (5) years of global risk analysis or related analytical position with a multi-national corporation or public agency.
• Knowledge of international security concerns, political issues, crime related threats, and terrorist activity affecting private industry.
• Experience using modern open-source intelligence techniques, procedures, and terminology to enable industry leading collection and collation activities.
• Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative under changing business conditions.
• Excellent research, analytical, writing, and verbal presentation skills with strong attention to detail.
