IFG (Interfacefinancial.com) is seeking an analytical, organized and sales minded individual to join our commercial credit team as an Underwriter/Senior Processor. Reporting to the Chief Credit Officer, this individual will be responsible for processing and structuring financial transactions. This position will assist in the day-to-day portfolio responsibilities. Primary objectives of this position are to ensure that commercial transactions are processed correctly and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
- Structuring and underwriting new and existing commercial clients
- Produce documentation for new and existing client files
- Perform commercial and other credit searches and risk assessments
- Process paperwork and administrate files through proprietary software system
- Special projects as directed by management
- Willingness to learn new skills and help out with whatever is needed
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
- 2-5 years in underwriting and processing for commercial lending
- Must have the ability to learn quickly and perform fast and efficiently
- Ability to grasp new concepts and training and apply it in real time a Must
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial statements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously, handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to new demands and challenges
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with close attention to detail
- Ability to work under minimal supervision is required
- Competently utilize computer software – MS Word, MS Excel and email are an integral part of day-to-day activity
