Looking for a clinic that feels like home? Greencross Caulfield South is searching for an easy‑going, reliable, team‑focused Vet Nurse who thrives in a supportive, social environment and is ready to make a real impact.

Why You’ll Love Us

Just 10km from Melbourne’s CBD, Greencross Caulfield South is a large and bustling clinic with a friendly, close‑knit team and a wonderfully diverse caseload. You’ll enjoy access to excellent facilities including digital X‑ray, ultrasound, IM3 dental X‑ray capabilities, in‑house pathology, 3 consulting rooms, separate dog and cat wards, and a dedicated sterile surgery theatre where we perform everything from routine desexings to more complex procedures such as exploratory surgeries, splenectomies, eye removals, and amputations. You’ll be supported daily by 2–3 vets, up to 5 skilled nurses, and our fantastic interns.

What You’ll Do

In this part‑time role (minimum 20 hours per week), you’ll work Mondays, Fridays, and one Saturday per month, contributing to a positive, collaborative clinic environment. Your responsibilities include:

  • Provide exceptional nursing care across surgical, medical, and consult settings
  • Assist with emergency and critical care, diagnostics, and minor procedures
  • Maintain high standard of hygiene and surgical sterility
  • Deliver warm, professional client service including reception duties, scheduling, admissions, discharges, and accounts
  • Help create a positive experience for every client and patient who walks through our doors

What You Bring

  • Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing with 1+ years’ experience
  • Calm, friendly, confident animal handling skills
  • Strong knowledge across general nursing procedures
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and customer service skills
  • A flexible, adaptable, team‑first attitude
  • RX Works experience is a bonus (but not essential)

What We Offer

  • A supportive, collaborative team that genuinely cares about your wellbeing
  • Flexible working arrangements, no after-hours and rotating weekends for better balance
  • Ongoing education, mentorship, and professional development
  • Access to advanced equipment and the national Greencross network
  • A warm, social culture with regular events, strong friendships, and a safe, open environment

Our clinic has evolved positively over recent years, and now we’re looking for that special someone who wants more than just a job, someone who wants a second family, a place where you feel valued, supported, and excited to come to work each day.

Ready to join a clinic that feels like family? Apply today and be part of something truly rewarding. For a confidential discussion, please contact Victoria Mckeown on 0404 633 457 or victoria.mckeown@gxltd.com.au
