Position: Video Editor/Researcher

Duties and Responsibilities

• You will be creating the visual narrative for an online show about Western pop culture & celebrity news (@harjashow on YouTube). It has a following of more than half a million people. The show is presented in Arabic, so the work involves listening to an AI-generated English-language voiceover in order to find the best (most relevant and highest quality) clips and images, trimming/cropping/etc then adding them to the relevant parts of the timeline.

Qualifications

• Proficiency: Intermediate to expert
• Knowledge: Western pop culture & celebrity stories, Adobe Premiere Pro
• Video editing, researching, following instructions, actioning feedback, asking questions
• Understand the format, the platform and our audience well. As such, in this role, it is far more important to follow the brief than be creative.

As you will be working from home, please be advised that we will require you to prepare certain Technical Requirements for you to meet the industry standard.

• A dedicated secluded working space away from noise and any distractions
• Updated personal computer or laptop with webcam
• Stable internet connection of at least 5Mbps and a backup of a pocket WiFi or Mobile Data
