About This Role
Seven Starling is seeking a VP of Sales to take our OBGYN referral engine to the next level. We've built a proven model that meets patients where they are—through trusted relationships with their providers. Reporting directly to the CEO and joining our leadership team, you'll scale this approach nationwide, mature our systems and processes, and expand our strategy into new provider verticals.
We need an experienced healthcare sales leader with deep expertise building clinical referral partnerships and a track record of hands-on team leadership. You'll own strategy and execution: launching new markets, optimizing our thousands of existing OBGYN partnerships, and evolving our sales infrastructure. This role requires a data-driven approach to market expansion, forecasting, and performance management—using metrics to guide prioritization and maximize ROI. Equally important, you'll be a coach and motivator who gets in the weeds with your team, fostering individual growth while building a high-performing sales culture.
If you're a mission-driven healthcare sales professional who can both architect scalable systems and inspire teams through hands-on leadership, join us in expanding access to women's mental healthcare.
What You’ll Do
Own and scale the referral growth strategy: Define and execute a balanced growth strategy that leverages both new clinic acquisition and existing clinic partner growth to meet our growth targets
Launch new markets and referral channels: Drive multi-state expansion across commercial and Medicaid markets. Expand the company’s referral pathways to other provider verticals.
Manage a high performance team: Coach, mentor, and manage a high performance team that consistently meets quota and is able to grow and develop within our organization
Lead with data: Forecast market by market growth, set quotas, and own practice referral metrics and sales performance tracking, using data to guide prioritization and continuous improvement. Evolve our dashboards and KPIs to enable early and actionable insights for both your team and leadership
Optimize process: Build repeatable sales and account management processes across outreach, onboarding, and the ongoing relationship to cost-effectively deepen engagement, drive retention, and maximize long-term referral volume
Evolve our systems and tools to enable rapid scale: Advance our use of Hubspot as a CRM, data dashboards, automated outreach tools, and other technology to enable rapid scale – with a particular emphasis on leaning into the advancements that new AI tools provide
Partner cross-functionally to maximize impact: Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Clinical teams to ensure the referral experience is seamless, feedback loops are tight, and growth forecasts align with provider supply
Maintain relationships with key partners and lead our provider council: Deeply understand clinical workflows, patient needs, and the realities of care delivery to continue to position Seven Starling as a trusted extension of OBGYN practices
Who You Are
Experienced sales leader: 8-10+ years of experience in sales, with 2+ years leading sales or revenue teams at the Director or VP level, owning quotas and key KPIs end-to-end
Healthcare native: 3+ years working in healthcare, ideally with hands-on experience building referral relationships with clinics and providers
Data-driven decision maker: Highly analytical and fluent in sales metrics, funnel health, and forecasting. You instinctively use data to diagnose problems, prioritize action, and hold teams accountable to outcomes
Strategic sales operator: Track record of building and executing sales strategies that drive measurable growth, including both new partner acquisition and account management
Startup scaler: Proven experience in startups, with experience at Series A–C companies strongly preferred. You’ve built or scaled sales functions from early traction through scale. You’re comfortable operating in ambiguity, diving into the details, and stepping back to design repeatable systems
Operationally rigorous: Organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven, with the ability to design sales motions, reporting systems, and engagement rhythms that support long-term partner relationships at scale
Clear communicator and cross-functional partner: Comfortable working across Product, Ops, Clinical, and Leadership teams. Able to influence without authority, push for clarity, and align stakeholders around shared referral and revenue goals
Strong people leader and coach: Experienced in hiring, developing, and managing high-performing sales teams. You know how to coach, set clear expectations, and raise performance through structure and feedback
Genuine advocate for our mission: Deeply aligned with Seven Starling’s mission and motivated by building access to high-quality mental healthcare, bringing empathy for both providers and patients into how you lead and sell
