§ Windows OS kernel (2003, 2008, and 2012)
§ Driver and firmware compatibility and other related issues
§ Extensive experience with “blue screen” investigations
§ Experience with system performance tuning
§ Experience with troubleshooting system dump information
§ Windows registry editing and troubleshooting
o Hands on experience with HP Intel based hardware
o Experience implementing and working with of HP Insight Management Suite (AKA ICE)
o Hands on experience with complex server deployments that involve…
§ Enterprise storage connectivity
§ Advanced volume and file system management (Veritas Storage Foundation)
§ Server clustering (Microsoft Cluster)
o PowerShell, Perl, or equivalent scripting language is a must. AB utilizes many different “home grown” scripts in performing various maintenance and provisioning activities. The candidate must be able to create and maintain such scripts.
o Working knowledge of Microsoft Systems Center for monitoring
o Working knowledge of Microsoft SCCM for software deployment
o Hands on administration level experience with VMWare ESXi 5.x or higher and related technologies such as VCC, SRM, and Orchestrator.
§ Design and build ESXi servers
§ Hands on experience with security and performance tuning
§ Design and implement virtual machine builds, clones, etc…
§ Various automation activities using SRM/Orchestrator
o Office & workflow automation applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint
