The WordPress Developer & SEO Specialist will manage our website and collaborate with our product marketing and product technical experts to develop and implement content on our website and social media platforms. Those efforts will drive improvements in inbound traffic from both traditional SEO and generative SEO. This role will also be responsible for integrating these efforts with our social media strategy, ensuring effective communication across owned (e.g., website, customer microsites) and third-party digital platforms (e.g., LinkedIn). This position requires strong technical skills in front-end website development, an excellent understanding of traditional SEO and emerging GEO techniques, and will provide input to our content development teams to ensure content published on our website and third-party sites ranks highly from a search perspective.
This role will also drive our integrated digital communications strategy and placement of BlueCat Intelligent NetOps content on third-party sites (e.g., LinkedIn, website affiliates, etc.). The person in this role will take responsibility globally and will manage our overall website localization strategy and translation initiatives so that our digital communications platforms are appealing to current and potential customers globally.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in optimizing website content for conversion rate optimization (CRO), search engine optimization (SEO), and generative engine optimization (GEO).
• Develop and execute BlueCat’s generative engine optimization strategy, partnering with internal and external consultants to ensure BlueCat’s brand and content appear prominently in generative AI search results.
• Manage and update website content using WordPress, ensuring it is accurate, engaging, and optimized for user experience.
• Serve as the primary webmaster, implementing design changes and troubleshooting issues as necessary.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in digital marketing and communications.
• Coordinate translation work for the website, ensuring that all content is available in the key languages and maintains consistent messaging across all platforms.
• Oversee project management tasks related to content creation and distribution, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
• Collaborate with team members to create compelling content for social media platforms, aligning with brand messaging and audience engagement strategies.
• Monitor and analyze website and social media metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing regular reports to the team.
Qualifications
• Proven experience with content management systems (preferably WordPress).
• Understanding of best practices for SEO, GEO, and CRO, along with expertise using tools to measure website engagement and performance (e.g., Google Analytics 4).
• Demonstrated experience in project management.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Basic design skills with familiarity in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail and storytelling.
• Experience in social media management and content creation.
Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in web management, social media, or digital marketing.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and other conversion optimization methodologies.
• Experience with multilingual content management and localization.
• Experience in communications within a dynamic, knowledge-based environment.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, enabling direct communication with team members.
• Proven project management and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic web development principles.
• Proficiency in using social media management tools.
