2026 - CSA Engineer Intern

Winthrop is a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. Winthrop specialises in providing Turnkey Data Centre Solutions, providing services from design, through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services as well as commissioning.

We are seeking a CSA Engineer Intern to join our engineering team and gain hands-on experience in civil, structural, and architectural design and analysis. This internship offers exposure to real-world projects, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and the opportunity to develop technical skills in a professional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and analysis of civil, structural, and architectural components for ongoing projects.
• Support the preparation of drawings, models, and specifications using CAD and BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Perform basic calculations and contribute to structural integrity assessments under supervision.
• Participate in site visits and inspections to observe construction practices and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to resolve design challenges and optimize solutions.
• Help prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and client meetings.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles, building codes, and construction practices.
• Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools; knowledge of structural analysis software is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Enthusiasm to learn and adapt in a data center or large-scale construction environment.
