Having found strong traction with our customers and observing rapidly changing AI tech capabilities, Zowie is now seeking a dynamic and product-minded Backend Software Engineer to join our Growth Team.

What you'll do:

As a member of this team, you will be at the forefront of our product innovation efforts, including hands-on work on mission-critical GenAI use cases, and will work directly with one of our founders - Maciej Ciołek. Your primary mission will be to explore new product ideas in collaboration with our customers, striving to understand their needs and uncover business value for them.

This is a unique opportunity to greatly impact Zowie as a whole. Our ability to innovate and rapidly test new ideas not only keeps us ahead of our competitors but also ensures that we continue to provide cutting-edge solutions to our customers. In recent months, we've spearheaded the adoption of GenAI, resulting in groundbreaking products like e.g. Hello (real-time voice interactions with visual aids), or AI Insights (Agentic AI that delivers answers to any questions related to customer interactions).

Ideally, you'll bring with you:

Product acumen, ownership, and focus on value delivered to customers

Ability to use AI coding tools as part of daily development, not just experimentation

3+ years of experience with Python

Strong fundamentals in software engineering (architecture, testing, debugging, code review)

High awareness of when good enough is better than perfect

High proficiency in English

It will be awesome if you have experience with:

Deploying and maintaining LLM-based production systems

NoSQL and SQL

Kafka or other message brokers

GraphQL

Docker Swarm / Kubernetes
