Role Overview
Reporting to the Manager, Data Science, the AI Program Coordinator will direct the development and upkeep of Teck’s AI portfolio.
As part of Teck's AI Office you will support to provide clear oversight and practical guidelines for AI within the company.
Your duties include facilitating the capture (or creation) of metrics and reports, and acting as liaison with technical interested

This is an initial 12-month contract to start with a strong possibility of extension based on program needs.

Key Responsibilities
Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Operate the single intake for AI/Advanced Analytics initiatives; ensure consistent classification (build / procure / off-the-shelf activation / feature activation).
Drive outreach so all inflight and new initiatives are registered; maintain high data quality (owners, lifecycle stage, value hypothesis, risk posture).
Define and maintain core benchmarks (adoption, usage, value indicators, governance coverage, time-to-decision).
Prepare dashboards and executive summaries (Power BI + narrative) for leadership, including risks, dependencies, and decisions required.
Help socialize and maintain AIO policy/standards and templates (risk assessment, evidence checklists), collecting audit‑ready artifacts from initiative owners.
Serve as the primary point of contact for collaborators; guide teams through intake, evidence expectations, and EA/ARB steps.
Coordinate with IT/Architecture, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Legal, Data & Analytics, and Operations on dependencies and blocking issues.
Align important metrics and tracking for Microsoft Copilot and similar off-the-shelf tools; partner with Change/Training on enablement communications and rollout status reporting.
Qualifications
5+ years in program/portfolio coordination, PMO, or product operations—ideally within data/analytics/AI or enterprise IT.
Proven experience running intake processes, collaborator communications, and reporting on important metrics (Power BI or equivalent).
Strong organizational and facilitation skills; able to translate governance requirements into clear checklists and timelines.
Familiarity with technology tool adoption metrics and change enablement practices.
Exposure to AI/ML projects and basic understanding of model lifecycle checkpoints is a plus.
