Application Support Agent (Medior)

In this role, you will support various business units in their daily activities and provide end-user support for critical applications, including:

• EUROPHYT Portal
• TRACES

As an Application Support Agent (Medior), you will:

• Act as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via email and ticketing systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to applications, including software bugs, system errors, and user-related problems.
• Log, track, and document customer inquiries, incidents, and resolutions in the ticketing system, ensuring accurate and detailed records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and software developers, to escalate and resolve complex issues.
• Provide guidance and training to end-users on effective use of the applications, including best practices and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to knowledge management, including the creation and maintenance of knowledge base articles, FAQs, and self-service documentation.
• Assist in testing and validation of software updates, patches, and new features prior to release.
• Monitor application performance and proactively identify potential issues or improvements.

Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role:

• Academic background in Agronomy, Plant Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology, Plant Health, or a related field or equivalent professional experience in these domains
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in application support and hands-on work or traineeship in the above-mentioned areas.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functionalities, and experience with web-based tools.
• Very good oral and written communication skills in English, combined with excellent customer service abilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and learning skills, with meticulous attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in international and multicultural teams.
• Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments.
• Knowledge of EU policies or regulatory environments is considered a plus.
