About Steer Health
Steer Health is an AI-powered healthcare growth and automation platform helping health systems and medical groups improve patient access, operational efficiency, and revenue performance. As we scale, we’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Finance & AR Assistant who can also support executive operations in-person.
This is a startup role hands-on, fast-paced, and high ownership. You’ll be trusted to keep our financial operations tight while supporting the CEO with scheduling and coordination.
Role Purpose
This role owns accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, and day-to-day bookkeeping, while also supporting calendar management and scheduling for senior leadership. You’ll ensure financial operations run smoothly and accurately as we grow, supporting leadership, investors, and the board with clean, reliable data.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Finance
- Manage invoicing, AR tracking, and collections
- Follow up on overdue invoices professionally and persistently
- Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliation
- Track subscription billing, recurring revenue, and payment cycles
- Support month-end close activities and reporting
- Work in QuickBooks or Xero independently
- Partner with HR Ops and leadership on payroll inputs and expense tracking
Executive & Operations Support
- Manage and coordinate Sridhar’s calendar (onsite support)
- Assist with scheduling internal and external meetings
- Support interview scheduling and candidate coordination as needed
- Help with ad-hoc operational tasks as the company scales
- Act as a reliable point of coordination between Finance, HR, and leadership
Requirements
Who We’re Looking For – Ideal Candidate Profile
You’re a great fit if you have:
- SaaS or subscription billing experience (MRR, recurring invoices, renewals)
- Familiarity with healthcare billing cycles (health systems, enterprise clients is a plus)
- Strong collections experience with professional follow-up
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or Xero
- Comfort wearing multiple hats in a startup environment
- Clear, professional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Willingness to work onsite in Dallas and support leadership in person
