Serves as a point of contact supporting the successful execution of projects and helping ensure client expectations are met. Works closely with the Project Manager and design disciplines within the Valdes organization to coordinate project design execution. Assists in leading project teams and supports the delivery of projects in accordance with the project’s scope, budget, and schedule. Help maintain positive working relationships within the design team and client counterparts throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in the organization of project information and may participate in site visits and client meetings as needed to facilitate communication and information exchange.

Assist with coordinating multiple multi-disciplinary building projects of any sizeAssist with managing scope, budget, and schedule for building projects from the conceptual stages through planning, design, construction, and contract closeoutAttend project meetings as directed to assist in the generation of meeting minutes, logging and tracking tasks, and general project documentationAssist with coordinating the efforts of the staff to achieve the client’s established project objectivesOther duties as assigned
Technical Competencies
Knowledge of multi-discipline project design execution and construction tasks, including logging and coordination of submittals and RFIs, reviewing contractor’s pay applications and waivers, closeout documentation, etc.Experience with public sector clients and projects requiredExperience with higher education clients and projects preferredAbility to clearly communicate complex concepts in a simple, easy-to-understand mannerDetail-oriented with overall sense of urgencyStrong verbal and written communication skillsFamiliarity with the relationships between building-related design disciplinesCreativeness in providing new solutions to problemsBasic knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suiteFamiliarity with planning or scheduling softwareSupports Quality Assurance/Quality Control efforts
Qualifications
3 to 5 years’ experience in the architecture & engineering industryBachelor's degree in architecture or engineeringProfessional registration is a plus but not requiredExperience with Capital Development Board projects and/or municipal projectsDesire to move into a project management leadership position over timeMust possess exceptional interpersonal and organizational skillsMust be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
