About the Role:
Synolo Therapeutics is seeking an innovative and collaborative Associate Scientist or Scientist in Immunology to join our fast-paced startup and work alongside a highly dynamic team to advance multispecific biologics. As a key scientific contributor, you will develop and execute immune assays to evaluate drug leads and work cross-functionally to drive our drug discovery and development efforts. In a highly supportive, team-driven environment, your creativity and expertise will help shape our science and accelerate our mission to bring transformative medicines to patients in need.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to and support key research activities and project goals within the Immunology groupDevelop, optimize, and execute immune-based assays using primary cells and cell lines to characterize mutispecific biologic leads, including ELISA, MSD, flow cytometry, luminescence reporter assays, co-culture assay, cytotoxicity assaysGenerate, engineer, and maintain cultures and stocks of immortalized cell lines and primary human cell samples (ex: PBMCs)Analyze, interpret, and communicate experimental results, contributing to data-driven decision-making through presentations, reports, and team discussionsDocument and organize high-quality experimental records using an electronic lab notebook (ELN) in accordance with scientific best practicesCollaborate closely with cross-functional partners in a fast-paced, start-up environment to drive programs forward from concept to data
Qualifications & Skills:
Demonstrated expertise with immunological techniques, including ELISA, MSD and flow cytometryExtensive experience with current molecular biology and cell biology techniques, including mammalian cell culture, reporter assays, transfection, and transductionStrong understanding of biologics and antibodies, with hands-on experience in their development and applicationAnalytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentCollaborative and adaptable team player who builds strong cross-functional relationships and contributes positively to a dynamic research cultureClear and effective communicator, able to convey experimental results and scientific concepts through both written documentation and verbal presentations
Education & Experience:
We recognize that great careers aren’t always linear and welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds.PhD, MS, or BS in Immuno-Oncology, Immunology, Cell Biology, or a related field. For candidates with a BS or MS, a minimum of 5 years (BS) or 3 years (MS) of relevant industry experience is required.Title will be commensurate with experience.

Hands-on experience with characterizing biologics through cell-based immune assaysHands-on experience with running multi-color flow cytometryExperience working effectively in a rapidly evolving biotech start-up environment
