Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking an Associate Software Developer who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a collaborative engineering environment. This role is ideal for college seniors, recent graduates, or early-career professionals (under 5 years of experience) who want hands-on experience building modern software solutions.
The ideal candidate is curious, dependable, and comfortable with hard work. They communicate well with a wide range of teammates, are open to feedback, and bring the persistence and work ethic needed to succeed in demanding environments.
Responsibilities

Contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications with guidance from senior engineers

Write clean, maintainable code using modern JavaScript technologies

Assist with building and integrating APIs and backend services

Support applications running in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS

Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging efforts

Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and non-technical stakeholders

Follow best practices for version control, documentation, and secure coding

Support deployments, fixes, and enhancements across development environments
Required Skills & Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field

0–5 years of software development experience (internships, co-ops, and academic projects included)

Experience with modern JavaScript (e.g., ES6+, React, Angular, Vue, or Node.js)

Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies

Comfortable working with diverse teams, including hands-on and non-technical stakeholders

Ability to manage time, priorities, and feedback in a fast-paced environment

Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is a plus

Coursework or background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is a plus

Background in competitive, team-oriented environments (e.g., college athletics) is valued
Where We're Looking For It
Onsite in Schenectady, New York
Other Information
The work hours will be approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required. Salary dependent upon experience.
