Senior Software Engineer (Node/AWS)

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js
• Build and maintain scalable, serverless applications on AWS
• Work with relational and analytical databases including PostgreSQL and Snowflake
• Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform
• Develop event-driven systems using AWS services such as Lambda, SNS, SQS, RDS, and DynamoDB
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and DevOps
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments using GitHub Actions

 Some Must-Haves:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with Node.js in backend-focused roles
• Solid experience with AWS, including serverless services (Lambda, SNS, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB)
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and/or Snowflake
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and backend architecture
• Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

Other Information

The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required.
