Position Title: AWS Solutions Architect
Experience Required: 7+ Years

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Solutions Architect with 7+ years of experience in designing, building, and implementing secure, scalable cloud architectures on Amazon Web Services. The ideal candidate will be strong in solution design, cloud best practices, migration strategies, and enterprise-level architecture patterns. This role requires a mix of technical depth, architectural vision, and strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on AWS.
• Lead cloud architecture discussions, define solution blueprints, and ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Evaluate existing on-premises applications and plan end-to-end migration strategies to AWS.
• Develop architecture diagrams, high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD).
• Implement AWS best practices including cost optimization, performance tuning, security hardening, and operational excellence.
• Work with DevOps teams to design CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated deployments using tools like Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Provide guidance on compute, storage, networking, security, database services, and application integration.
• Conduct architecture reviews, troubleshoot cloud issues, and ensure reliability and resilience.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, security teams, and product owners to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions.
• Stay updated on AWS advancements and recommend new services to improve system performance and cost efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing AWS cloud architectures.
• Strong knowledge of core AWS services: EC2, VPC, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ECS/EKS, Route 53, ELB, etc.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, CDK.
• Experience with cloud security best practices, IAM policies, encryption, VPC security, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts: VPC, subnets, VPN, Direct Connect, load balancers, NAT, routing.
• Experience with DevOps tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild.
• Experience with serverless architectures and microservices design patterns.
• Strong understanding of relational & NoSQL databases (RDS, DynamoDB).
• Experience with cost estimation and cloud budgeting using AWS Cost Explorer or Trusted Advisor.
• Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certifications such as:
  • AWS Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional
  • AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools: Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic.
• Experience with enterprise-scale cloud migration projects.
