Job Description:
You will develop core algorithms and computational models for a platform optimizing sustainable bioproduct manufacturing. By balancing complex dynamics to ensure accurate virtual experimentation, you will help alternative protein companies reduce R&D timelines and costs. This role offers high autonomy to own features from design to deployment in a mission-driven, remote-first environment.

What you will do:

• Design and implement complex bioprocess models and backend architectures using Python to power virtual experimentation

• Collaborate with bioprocess engineers to integrate new data sources and improve the accuracy of optimization algorithms

• Take full ownership of the product lifecycle, including technical design, testing, and deployment of compute-heavy workloads

The ideal candidate:

• Has 3+ years of experience building scalable APIs and backend services in Python within cloud environments

• Possesses a strong interest in (bio)process modeling, biochemical engineering, or complex analytical systems

• Thrives in autonomous, multi-disciplinary startup environments and enjoys learning complex technical topics quickly
