Felina Ridgewood is seeking a reliable and hardworking Barback to support their bartending team and ensure smooth bar operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to providing excellent service behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
- Restock bar supplies including liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, and garnishes
- Ensure bartenders have everything needed to serve customers efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including counters, floors, and storage spaces
- Collect and wash glassware, utensils, and bar equipment
- Refill ice bins and change kegs as needed
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Remove trash and recycling promptly
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages
- Support bartenders during busy shifts to maintain service speed and quality
Qualifications
- Previous barback or hospitality experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift heavy items (e.g., kegs, cases of beverages)
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent lifting, bending, and reaching
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs or more
