IABA is seeking compassionate and motivated Part-Time Behavior Specialists to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving their goals through individualized, evidence-based support.
The ideal candidate demonstrates integrity, respect, professionalism, and a positive attitude while maintaining high standards of ethical practice.
Schedule
- Part-time hours (varies by case)
- Evening and weekend availability required
Responsibilities
- Develop teaching protocols and train support staff on implementation
- Participate in the implementation of individualized Behavior Support Plans
- Design and implement integrated curriculum plans
- Conduct field visits and provide ongoing case support
- Complete documentation and report writing in a timely manner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with report writing
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or mental health needs
- Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviors
Requirements:
- Reliable, operable vehicle
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Current auto insurance
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a Live Scan background check
- Ability to physically assist clients when needed (e.g., transfers, mobility support)
