Job Title: Business Manager (Product Management and Development)
Salary: £39,780 - £41,570
Hours per week: 35 hours per week
Location: At IOSH, we embrace hybrid working because we believe it's the key to achieving work-life balance, strategic success and fostering our collaborative culture. So our preference is that you will work from our head office in Wigston, Leicester a minimum of 2 days per week, the remainder of your working hours will be undertaken from home. However we are open to remote working with the occasional travel to our head office.

About the role
We’re looking for a highly organised and commercially aware Business Manager to play a central role within our Product Management and Development (PMD) team helping shape how a product function operations, brining structure, clarity and insight to support better decision-making and stronger outcomes.
This is a pivotal position that sits at the heart of the function - connecting people, processes and performance. You will act as the internal interface for the team, ensuring that activity is aligned, insights are visible, and opportunities are effectively delivered across the organisation.
Working closely with the Head of Product Management and Development, you will drive operational excellence across the team - from performance reporting and KPI tracking, to process improvement, stakeholder coordination and risk management.
You’ll lead the development, tracking and reporting of KPIs and performance metrics, turning data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders. On a monthly basis, you’ll produce performance reports that assess team activity, highlight risks and uncover opportunities for improvement. You’ll play a key role in supporting and continuously enhancing operational processes, driving efficiency across the PMD function.
Acting as a central point of coordination, you’ll ensure strong communication, collaboration and alignment across teams, including third-party partners and internal functions. You’ll manage and maintain the departmental risk register, ensuring risks are effectively identified, monitored and mitigated, while also supporting budget oversight by identifying financial risks and opportunities.
Working within a complex stakeholder environment, you’ll provide timely updates, keep delivery on track and collaborate closely with project and programme teams. Throughout, you’ll contribute to a positive, customer-focused culture aligned with organisational strategy and values.
