Responsibilities and Duties:

Create sheet metal flat patterns using Pro-Engineer, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD. Verify accuracy of flat patterns using manual calculations. Create Engineering Change Orders, submittals, and GA drawings. Work closely with fabrication contractors.

Design and redesign new and existing air moving equipment utilized in the chemical, petrochemical, power, waste water treatment plants, heating and cooling, power generation, mining and marine application, and many other industrial applications. Using AutoCad or SolidWorks create design layouts, drawing detailing, and assembly drawings.

Prepare layout and manufacturing detailed prints using SolidWorks.
Retrofit old and new equipment including competitors, as long as it meets and serves customer’s needs.
Develop and update designs for special build product.
Prepare customer assembly drawings.
Generate 2D and 3D sales drawings and submittal data.
Develop customer sales drawings and models for approvals.
Review returned approval drawings and implement necessary changes.
Perform VA/VE activities to optimize design for improving manufacturability and take cost out from current legacy product.
Create bills of materials for new orders.
Generate machine layout drawings and files.
Assist production personnel with any drawing or fit up issues.
