This is a fixed term, part-time role (0.4 EFT) commencing Monday 27th January 2026 until June 2027. Based in East Melbourne, you will lead the delivery of nursing education programs that address the evolving needs of nurses within the haematology and oncology clinical environment.
Your role will centre on supporting the autologous stem cell transplant service while preparing nursing teams for the safe and effective introduction of CAR T-cell therapy and other emerging cellular therapies at Epworth Freemasons. You will proactively identify, anticipate, and respond to educational needs, ensuring nurses are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in these advanced treatment areas. In addition, you will provide clinical supervision, assessment, and ongoing support to nursing staff within the cellular therapies and haematology specialty.
Reporting to the Education Manager, you will be well supported and be part of a positive and friendly Education team.
To be successful in this role…
You will play a pivotal role in promoting quality and safety across the hospital by delivering education, training, workshops, seminars, and hands-on clinical support. Through your expertise, you will empower nurses to enhance their skills and deliver exceptional patient outcomes in advanced haematology care.
You will have:
- Extensive experience (minimum 4 years) in haematology nursing, including autologous stem cell transplantation, bispecific antibodies, and CAR T-cell therapy.
- A proven ability to collaborate effectively within dynamic, multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to foster a positive learning culture.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire staff.
- Demonstrated capability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- High levels of self-motivation, accountability, and the ability to work within agreed parameters.
- Previous experience in education or facilitation (desirable but not essential).

Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Relevant Postgraduate qualification in oncology.
- Hold or be working towards a Masters qualification in Education or relevant area of practice (desirable)
