Epworth HealthCare is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Grade 2 Clinical Psychologist to become part of our dynamic rehabilitation team based at Hawthorn. This part-time position (0.6 EFT) offers an excellent opportunity for a clinician who wants to make a meaningful impact within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. The role is scheduled to commence in February 2026.

The Psychology Department at Epworth works within the Rehabilitation Division and has a long history of providing high quality care to adults undertaking rehabilitation programs at Epworth. With more than 25 psychologists across three Melbourne locations, you will be joining a vibrant and dynamic team and will be given access to supervision and professional development opportunities.

With this fantastic opportunity, your role will be to provide short and longer term psychological services to clients with a broad range of health conditions within a multidisciplinary team. You will work flexibly across both the inpatient and outpatient teams, with a particular emphasis on inpatient support.  You will have opportunities for individual and group work and will receive supervision from experienced Psychologists.

Applicants need to have endorsement or be on a path towards endorsement in Clinical, Health, or Counselling Psychology.

You will make an impact by:

  • Using your well-developed clinical skills to deliver effective and evidence-based psychology assessments and interventions for patients which contribute to their health and well-being
  • Working collaboratively with other team members to support client rehabilitation goals and functional outcomes in a multidisciplinary context
  • Establishing and maintaining appropriate standards of practice relating to patient admission, assessment, treatment, family liaison and discharge planning
  • Communicating effectively with your teams, patients, and families

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Established psychological assessment and intervention skills
  • Experience working within a hospital setting, preferably within rehabilitation
  • An interest, and preferably experience, in delivering interventions for people with neurological conditions. Relevant training and support will be provided
  • Values centered approach around team work, compassionate and evidence based care
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • A Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical or Health or Counselling Psychology
  • General Psychologist registration with AHPRA with (or working towards) area of practice endorsement in Clinical, Health or Counselling Psychology
