Summary

We are seeking a Cloud Support Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Intune (MDM), and modern cloud security practices. This role will take ownership of engineering, hardening, and integrating our cloud and endpoint environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and automated solutions across the enterprise. While the focus is on advanced engineering and automation, you will also provide guidance and support for Microsoft 365 services and collaborate on security initiatives.

This position is onsite 5 days a week at our New York City office.

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Cloud Engineering & Administration

  • Architect, engineer, and maintain Azure infrastructure (compute, networking, identity, security, automation) for resilience and scalability.

  • Implement governance, compliance, and security best practices across Azure resources.

  • Monitor cloud service health, performance, and resource utilization; troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

Endpoint Management (Intune/MDM)

  • Lead administration and engineering of Microsoft Intune, including device enrollment, policy configuration, compliance enforcement, and endpoint security.

  • Automate device management workflows and optimize endpoint security configurations.

Security & Compliance

  • Enforce Zero Trust principles and implement advanced security controls across cloud and endpoint environments.

  • Participate in incident response and security reviews; manage identity and access via Entra ID (Azure AD).

  • Promote security awareness and best practices among end-users.

Automation & DevOps

  • Ability and interest to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for strong documentation and version control

  • Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with security, networking, and application teams to deliver cohesive solutions.

  • Provide advanced support for Microsoft 365 / Azure and assist with user provisioning and troubleshooting.

  • Mentor junior IT staff and contribute to knowledge base documentation.

  • Participate on site (5x/week) and after hours shift rotation.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or advanced IT administration roles.

  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure and Intune/Endpoint Manager.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Graph and PowerShell

  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and compliance frameworks.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration and Entra ID (Azure AD).

  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).

  • Exposure to SaaS integration and enterprise-scale environments.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102)

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent advanced certifications.
