Position Overview
As the Public Relations (Corporate) for the AI Robot Association (AIRoA), you will be responsible for a wide range of internal and external communications. Your key responsibilities will include planning, drafting, and distributing press releases; managing media relations; operating our website, newsletters, and social media channels; handling press inquiries; and supporting PR activities for events and conferences.You will be expected to translate highly advanced and specialized themes—such as AI- and robot-foundation models and the robot data ecosystem—into clear, compelling language and narratives for diverse audiences, including companies, researchers, government agencies, and the general public in Japan and overseas. You will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing English materials for global communications.

AIロボット協会（AIRoA）の広報担当（企業）として、社内外コミュニケーションを幅広く担っていただきます。具体的には、プレスリリースの企画・作成・配信、メディアリレーション、Webサイト・ニュースレター・SNS運用、取材対応、イベントやカンファレンスの広報サポートなどです。AI×ロボット基盤モデルとロボットデータエコシステムという先端かつ専門性の高いテーマを、分かりやすい言葉とストーリーに翻訳し、国内外の企業・研究者・行政・一般の方々へ発信していただきます。グローバル発信のための英語資料作成・チェックもお任せします。
【What Makes the “Public Relations (Corporate)” Role at AIRoA Unique】
Corporate communications at AIRoA is about conveying the value of a Japan-originated, national-level project to the world. AIRoA collects operational data from various types of robots and develops foundation models for robotics. As a NEDO-funded initiative, we are taking on an unprecedented challenge: developing foundational models and driving their global deployment with a large-scale R&D budget.In this role, you will support this challenge from a communications perspective. As the “face” of a consortium that includes major corporations as well as universities and research institutions, you will engage with a wide range of stakeholders while leading our external communication efforts.

AIRoA was established at the end of 2024 as a general incorporated association and began full-scale operations in FY2025 with the goal of building a robot data ecosystem through the fusion of AI and robotics technologies. Leading Japanese companies have joined as full members, and numerous startups and research institutions are also participating.We are very much in the phase of building the organization and its rules from the ground up, and there is significant room to shape our brand strategy, messaging, and communications processes. 【About AIRoA】
AIRoA was established in December 2024 with two core objectives: “to revolutionize the technology of robot development through the fusion of robots and AI” and “to promote the use of robots in society.” While AI is rapidly advancing worldwide, the shortage of data in robot development has become a critical issue.To address this challenge, we are running a national flagship project funded by NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization), with an investment of over JPY 20 billion.

●Recruitment Background
AIRoA is driving a long-term project to develop foundation models for robotics and expand their use globally. To make this project a success, it is essential that we build strong recognition and trust in both academia and industry, and establish a clear position on the global stage as a Japan-led initiative.To this end, we are newly hiring a Public Relations (Corporate) who will lead our overall PR activities, including international communications. We are looking for someone who can partner with us from the ground up—designing the framework and processes for communications and then putting them into operation in this newly launched organization.

Through your day-to-day work—such as managing press releases, social media channels, media interviews, and event PR—you will gain a deep understanding of AIRoA’s business, technologies, and stakeholders.Building on this foundation, you will be involved in more strategic, upstream initiatives, including planning and executing an integrated domestic and global communications strategy, developing relationships with media, analysts, and partner companies, and establishing brand guidelines and messaging frameworks.In the future, we expect you to take a leading role across all PR activities, driving your own initiatives and growing into a core member of the communications team.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in corporate communications / PR (at an operating company or PR agency, etc.)
- Experience in at least one of the following: drafting press releases, handling media relations, or managing social media channels
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to understand your company’s business and technologies and explain them in clear, accessible language
- Strong communication skills enabling smooth collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders

- 自社事業や技術を理解し、分かりやすく文章化できるライティング力

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in corporate communications / PR in the tech domain (e.g., IT, AI, robotics)
- Experience in global communications and working with overseas offices and partners
- Experience launching PR/communications functions at a startup, venture company, or consortium
- Experience managing owned media, planning social media campaigns, and planning/operating events
- Business-level English skills sufficient to handle interviews and media inquiries in English

●Our Office
We currently operate out of a spacious office and research facility of over 1,000 m² located in the Ryutsu Center area. In this space, our business teams and engineering teams work in close collaboration, advancing both day-to-day operations and R&D with AI robots always close at hand. The facility is frequently visited not only by members of the AI Robot Association, but also by engineers and researchers from partner companies and representatives from member companies. As a result, it serves as a hub where diverse experts at the forefront of AI and robotics gather and interact.
