Communications Intern (Summer 2026)
Astranis is looking for a Communications Intern to support our external storytelling as we scale. You'll help draft communications assets, create content for social media, support media relations and other things that come up – all while learning how a fast-growing aerospace company communicates with different stakeholders.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with our Marketing team to help tell the story of how Astranis is transforming the connectivity industry. You'll gain exposure to product launches, customer announcements, and media strategy, all within a fast-paced startup environment building technology that's launching into space.
Role
- Draft content for internal and external communications to support product launches and company milestones.
- Support media relations efforts by maintaining press lists, tracking coverage, and coordinating interview requests.
- Help create content for social media channels, including LinkedIn posts, graphics, and video scripts.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitor messaging, and media landscape to inform communications strategy.
- Collaborate with Marketing team to gather information and ensure accuracy in external messaging.
- Monitor and track media coverage, compile news clips, and produce internal reports on press mentions and sentiment.
- Maintain internal communications resources, including media kits, fact sheets, and spokesperson briefing materials.
- Contribute to the development of case studies, customer testimonials, and impact stories that showcase Astranis's work.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, English, or a related field, or recent graduate (within 1 year).
- Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and formats.
- Interest in aerospace, technology, or defense sectors. Curiosity and willingness to learn is essential.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities can shift quickly.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to work collaboratively across teams and ask good questions.
- Self-starter who can take initiative, work independently, and follow through on assigned projects.
- Can be in office 5 days a week.

The base pay for this position is $29.00 per hour.
