Krügel Cobbles, Inc is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our team!

Founded in 1982, Krügel Cobbles, Inc began with a truck, a borrowed trailer, and an idea. Now the company has grown to 40 individuals, installing over 160-170 hardscape projects annually in the greater Chicagoland Area, particularly in the North Shore Suburbs. Krügel Cobbles, Inc. is a family owned and operated company.

We offer a competitive salary for our Construction Project Manager from $90,000 - $105,000 annually, depending on experience, plus opportunity for an annual bonus, company vehicle, and excellent benefits, including health, vision, 401k safe harbor with matching contributions, short-and-long term disability, and life insurance. Requirements for our Construction Project Manager:

  • 3+ years of proven experience in a leadership role within the landscaping construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction procedures, including reading blueprints, plans and coordinating project timelines and scheduled.
  • Attention to detail.
  • A demonstrated understanding of good safety practices in many different environments (OSHA certification is a plus, but not required).
  • Experience with LMN is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities for our Construction Project Manager:

  • Collaborating with owners, architects, subcontractors, and staff to ensure a smooth, timely construction process.
  • Supervising the work of laborers, excavators, masons, electricians, plumbers, etc., and offering guidance when needed.
  • Working closely with crew chiefs on planning and developing project ideas and leading teams through project progression including preparing, guiding and training.
  • Overseeing the process to define the scope of the project based on the business need to meet the customer’s project expectations.
  • Ensuring safety practices and protocols are followed on site.
  • Interpreting architectural and landscape drawings/blueprints.
  • Developing and managing project schedules and timelines throughout the project.
  • Budgeting management in materials, labor, and time for each project.
  • Communicating effectively with both internal personnel and clients and ensuring client satisfaction by providing extraordinary customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrating leadership as a key team leader.
  • Provide all required documents, job updates, and job progress notes within LMN.
  • Procuring equipment and materials and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
